IT IS HUMAN TO SEEK OUT WHAT HURTS US
Marcel Proust
Souvenir tells the story of a life through a freewheeling exploration of memory, jealousy and time. Music, magic tricks, goldfish, Shakespeare, Beyoncé, Bruce Springsteen and Proust collide in an attempt to compress the longest novel ever written into 55 minutes.
Souvenir opened September 19th 2012 at the New Theatre, Dublin, as part of Dublin Fringe.
“Spellbinding. Rife with literary allusion, beautiful imagery and evocative writing. It will stay with me for a very long time.”
