Associate Artist Call Out for 2025
Dead Centre is seeking an Associate Artist. In previous years, this role has spanned designer and director positions. For 2025 we are seeking a Theatre Director, at the early stage of their career. Read on for full details of the role and how to apply.

What is involved?
This position is for a Theatre Director, and is ideally suited for someone at the early stage of their career. This individual will be given opportunities to develop their practice through working as assistant on Dead Centre’s workshops and productions. In addition, they will have the chance to observe the workings of the company and avail of mentorship opportunities.
The programme is envisaged to run from February 2025 until the end of the year, but there will be flexibility. The opportunity is open to people resident in Ireland.
The Associate Artist will:
Receive a fee of €4,000.
Assist on a Dead Centre production in 2025.
Have the opportunity to attend the company’s development workshops.
Avail of mentorship from Ben Kidd and Bush Moukarzel, the company’s Artistic Directors.
Receive producing guidance from Tilly Taylor, the company’s Producer.
Have the chance to travel to see the company’s work.
Be able to attend company meetings and industry wide events alongside the company members, to gain insight into the runnings of an independent theatre company.

Applications close on 27 November at 5pm. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview between 2 - 7 December. Interviews will be in person in Dublin.
When invited to interview, candidates will be given space to share any access requirements they may have.
